  I bought a pair of Binoculars yesterday which have not performed as well as I'd hoped. Although the young lady was very helpful there was nothing to try so that I could be better informed before my purchase although I did ask. As they did not suit when I tried them out I returned them this morning to find that Kathmandu would not refund for my purchase and I found the lady professionally polite although confrontational. My personal regret is that I ended up parting with a further $35.00 for a lightweight compact rain jacket that I could have picked up for my $35.00 elsewhere and still had the binos to give to someone else. Oh, the cost of avoiding confrontation. I personally shall never darken their doorway again.
