  Ironically, time is not of the essence with Sel Smith Watch Centre on Margaret St. I took my watch in for a battery and 4 small diamantes to be replaced, and was told I could pick it up the following day. I couldn't make it the following day, so I went to collect my watch the week after, only to be told upon arrival that the watch wasn't ready because the diamantes were on order. A phone call would have been helpful so that I didn't waste a trip over there. A couple of weeks later and I still had not heard anything from Sel Smiths. So I called and left a message to find out if it was any closer to being ready. No phone call returned. Phoned again and was left on hold for a few minutes, but alas, my watch was finally ready for collection over 3 weeks later with no courtesy phone call to say it was ready for collection. The owner wanted to argue that they have thousands of jobs and I should come and have a look why they can't phone their customers. That really is not the point and simple customer service was lacking. I won't be taking my business back there and won't recommend them to anyone. Waste of time. ( I'd give no stars, but that was not an option)
